    Dr. Suzanne Tang, ND, LAc

     

    Dr TangDr. Tang is a licensed naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist in California. 

    Dr. Tang graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1997, where she was inspired to learn a natural, safe, and science-based approach to health and wellness. This inspiration led her to the leading, accredited academic and research center for natural medicine, Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Here she earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2003. She has supplemented her education with certifications in craniosacral therapy, reiki, and yoga instruction.

    Since 2004, Dr. Tang has gained many years of extensive clinical experience in private practice at several integrative health clinics in Orange County, CA. She is a well-known community speaker of natural medicine for the American Heart Association and corporations in Orange County, CA. Dr. Tang has been a contributing writer to many health magazines and newsletters and has been featured on the ABC Channel 7 News for her expertise on natural medicine and health. She taught and practiced at the UC Irvine School of Medicine and UC Irvine Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine. In 2009 Dr. Tang co-founded Coastal Acupuncture & Natural Health Center and co-founded Awakened Health to offer custom herbal formulations, wellness retreats and workshops and online health programs. Dr. Tang has transitioned these companies into Inspire Natural Wellness and is very honored and excited to be a part of the OC Whole Family Wellness team. She creates balance in her life by spending quality time with her husband, two children, and pups, exercising, hiking outdoors, reading, meditating and practicing yoga.

    Dr. Tang is dedicated to offering her patients compassionate, comprehensive natural medical care. Her passion lies in educating her patients to feel empowered to make optimal, healthy lifestyle changes and offering them hope and inspiration to heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Dr. Tang spends time actively listening to her patients, needs and concerns. She identifies potential underlying causes of their illness by extensively reviewing their diet, sleep quality, stress and energy levels, exercise, lifestyle, occupational and environmental exposures, past and present medical history, and family history. She uses the latest standards in diagnostic examination and laboratory testing to evaluate digestive function, neurotransmitters, hormone, thyroid and adrenal balance, cardiovascular health and nutritional status. Recognizing that each individual is unique, Dr. Tang creates customized treatment plans for each patient utilizing numerous natural therapies.

    Dr. Tang has had extensive training in Diet and Lifestyle Counseling, Nutrient Therapy, Western and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy and Craniosacral Therapy, effective therapies that she has used to address a myriad of conditions. Dr. Tang specializes in women's health addressing health concerns such as menopause, premenstrual syndrome, dysmenorrhea, infertility and menstrual irregularities. 

    She has also successfully treated patients with anxiety, insomnia, cardiovascular disease, Type 2 Diabetes, musculoskeletal pain and injuries, autoimmune conditions, adrenal and thyroid conditions and gastrointestinal disorders.

    She truly enjoys working with the entire family to support optimal health and wellness for the whole family.  In addition to addressing patients’ physical needs, Dr. Tang is called to support her patients to identify mental, emotional, and spiritual blocks to their health and well-being, break through unhealthy, limiting beliefs and patterns and create greater compassion and self-care.
