Holistic Psychotherapy is a mind body spirit approach to wellbeing that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. It is an integrative approach using techniques chosen specifically for each individual and their symptoms. It is solution focused and treats traditional emotional symptoms such as depression and anxiety in addition to persistent physical symptoms like insomnia, migraines and fatigue, to name a few.
Holistic Psychotherapy extends beyond talk therapy by using energy techniques such as kinesiology (muscle testing), applied acupressure and hypnotherapy to tap into the body’s energy centers to release old blocked energy from past emotional and physical traumas. Traumas are actually physiological in nature and live in our body long after the initiating event and therefore must be released through the body in order to achieve complete healing. With this whole health perspective, therapy is dynamic, educative, precise and brief.
Holistic Psychotherapy is also viewed as a preventive therapy. We learn to recognize patterns of thought, behavior and emotion that are in conflict with our desired way of being. With this approach, we are able to cope with future difficult situations using the learned techniques before they manifest in the body.
Holistic Psychotherapy is appropriate for children, individuals, couples and families.
